Award Types
- Richard E. Grove – In order to obtain the Richard E. Grove Award, an undergraduate student must display outstanding service to the Department of Computer Science.
- Outstanding Student – In order to be eligible for the Outstanding Student award, a student must achieve a GPA of 3.7 or greater. An undergraduate from each classification (Senior, Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman) is chosen.
- Chair Emeritus – In order to be eligible for the Chair Emeritus award, a student must complete 45 resident hours with a GPA of 3.5 or greater. Two undergraduates from the Junior or Senior classification are chosen.
- SAP – In order to be eligible for the SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) award, a undergraduate must complete 45 resident hours with a GPA of 3.5 or greater. A graduate must display outstanding service to the Department of Computer Science in addition to a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
The SAP award is awarded each semester as follows:
Fall: One undergraduate and one graduate are chosen.
Spring: Two undergraduates are chosen.
All award winners are selected by vote from the faculty.
